Tooth Extractions

Don’t Live in Pain, Extract that Tooth

At Potomac Dental Centre, we try to avoid tooth extraction whenever possible, so you can feel confident that we will not recommend a tooth extraction unless it is truly necessary. However, in certain cases, tooth extraction may be the best option for restoring and preserving your oral health. Our dentists may recommend a tooth extraction if:

  • An infection has destroyed a large portion of the tooth and supporting bone structure.
  • There is not enough room for all of the teeth to properly fit in the mouth.
  • A tooth is severely damaged or decayed, making an effective restoration impossible.

Our caring dental team will ensure that your tooth extraction is as painless and comfortable as possible. We will make sure you know how best to care for your smile while you are healing, and we are happy to discuss tooth replacement options, such as dental bridges or dental implants, with you both before and after the tooth extraction.

If you are experiencing any type of dental pain, we welcome you to contact our dental office today to learn more about our dental treatments and to schedule your visit with our dentist. We are dedicated to improving your oral health.
