Real Implant Case Studies and Transformations

Case Study 1: Brayden

Concern: Broken Tooth #8.

Treatment: Brayden came to our office seeking a solution to replace his front tooth, which he had broken off on a pool table. After discussing his options, he decided on an implant-supported crown. Our dentist explained the challenges, including the larger size of the tooth #8 space compared to the #9 tooth and the difficulty in matching the crown’s shade to his natural teeth. Despite these challenges, Brayden chose to proceed with treatment. Our team worked closely with the lab to ensure the aesthetics were just right. Now, Brayden has a tooth that looks and feels as natural as the rest of his smile.

Timeline:
10/12/21: Implant consult.
10/12/21: Same-day extraction and implant. A temporary crown was installed.
11/23/21: Impressions for the final implant crown.
2/2/22: Crown #8 finish.
Result: Confident smile.

Case Study 2: Joyce

Concern: Multiple missing teeth, fractured tooth #12,13 to the gumline.

Treatment: When Joyce came to our office, she was very fearful of the dentist.  She was interested in tooth replacement options, and upon examination, our dentist discovered multiple missing teeth. We discussed her options: an implant-supported bridge or a partial denture. Although implants were recommended for their longevity, Joyce chose the partial denture. For years, Joyce continued with routine care until she felt ready to move forward with upper implants. She opted for IV sedation to ensure her comfort during surgery. Today, Joyce is thrilled with her new teeth and appreciates that we never pressured her to proceed with implants until she was ready.

Timeline:
1/9/23: Scheduled consult for upper ISD
1/20/23: Impressions for temps
3/8/23: Sedation, Extraction of remaining teeth, implants, and temp implant-supported denture attached.
5/1/2023: Impressions for the final implant-supported denture
6/22/23: Upper ISD delivery
Result: Very happy with treatment and loved the sedation.

Treatment: When Elijah came to us, he was struggling with a broken front tooth and severe decay. He was living in pain and embarrassed to smile. After avoiding the dentist for over 10 years, Elijah knew it was time to do something about his smile. After consulting with our team, he chose to have extractions and implant-supported dentures. Now, Elijah feels great showing off his smile and has discovered a renewed sense of self-confidence.
